Thursday, September 23, 2010 Back from my 5D4N Hong Kong trip with Dear Dear, Hui Khim and Edmund. Met up with Man Chui at Hong Kong Kowloon's Evergreen Hotel's lobby on 18 September 2010 night after our Jetstar flight 3K696 touched down at Hong Kong International Airport at 8.30pm. Checked into hotel and left our luggage inside the room and then.. Off we go for our sumptuous dinner at 翠华茶餐厅. After dinner, we went to visit Temple Street to digest a little of what we had for dinner and then we went to eat again... *LoLx* This time round we had dessert at 松记糖水店 which is near where our hotel is located at. I must say that their durian pancake is super tasty. Those who are visiting Hong Kong... Do dropped by to try ya? *wInKz* As for Day 2 of our trip, we went crazy shopping. But the biggest gain is surprisingly not me but Miss Chua Hui Khim worx. *LoLx* basically we went to Hong Kong Island for our shopping spree. Went to Causeway Bay and Central Station to shop at SOGO, Times Square, WTC More, Island Beverly and of course to take a look at the famous Lan Kwai Fong area. Unfortunately, Lan Kwai Fong is down on renovations. Thus the 2 guys doesn't have a chance to experience the night life there for this trip. After the "disappointment" we gotten, we proceed to Madame Tussauds Waxwork Musuem for tonnes of photos shoots. *rOfL* It was extremely fun visiting the museum nehz. Oh ya... Not forgetting the peak tram which we took which is kind of scary nehz. It actually travel backwards when going down the peak and the speed is rather dash. One may feel as though is falling at free fall like that. But it's a fun and good experience though. (^_^) Despite the being worn out after all the shoppings and photos taken, ( For information, we actually slept less than 4 hours the night before. ) we still went ahead to visit Avenue of Stars. Again took quite a number of photos there. Haas... Today is the "tonnes and tonnes of photo taking" day nehz. *LoLx* But before we proceed to Avenue of Stars, we had our dinner at one of the Macau Theme Restaurant for dinner and then had desserts at 许留山. Haas... Come to Hong Kong where can forget about 许留山 desserts lehz? *bLeAhX* For Day 3, we visited Hong Kong's Disneyland. We reached there about 9.30am and was at there the whole entire day till about 8.30pm then we unwillingly decided to leave the place. *bLeAhX* Because it is Disneyland, we took alot lot lot of photos... Reason being not all the time we get to visit Disneyland and since its our very first time there... We took alot photos as well. Taking photos with the lovely mascots is one thing that should not be missed out nehz. Therefore, when we are at there... We seize all opportunities to take photos with any mascots. Despite some of them have really long queues. But good things are worth the wait ya? (^_~) after visiting Disneyland, we decide to head back to the area near our hotel for dinner. Partly is because of the weather as typhoon number 3 signal is up. Had a super super big portion serving dinner at the cafe beside our hotel and eat till we are super full. And when one had eaten till super duper full plus a whole day out at outdoor activities, one becomes lazy. So... The lazy 4 of us decided to return back to hotel to turn in early for the day. Day 4, shopping again! *rOfL* Because of the wet weather, we decided to change our initial plan to go Ocean Park to go shopping instead. This time round not Hong Kong Island already. It's Kowloon Island itself. We went Argyle Centre (旺角中心), Habour City, Shantung Street, Dundas Street and 女人街. And the biggest "damages" done was at 女人街 where I got a super duper cheap deal for a My Melody bed sheet set. The bed sheet set comes with a pillow case, a bolster case, a bed sheet cover and a blanket which only cost about SGD42!!! Cheap right?!? *WiNkZ* Oh ya... Before we start our shopping of the day, we went to eat at some nice dim-sum at 添好运点心专卖店. Night time we went to 尖沙咀码头 to see Symphony of Lights. But because the weather was not as good, the "dancing lights wasn't that obvious. Nevertheless, we managed to take photos at the beautiful night scenery for memories keepsake. (^_^) After much photos being taken, we went to take the "tourist-must-take" ferry ride to Hong Kong Island for our dinner. Roam around for awhile after dinner before we return back to hotel and packed our "must-use-so-much-strength-to-close" luggage. *LoLx* Last day of the trip which is Day 5, we decided to checked out of the hotel earlier and go for our last minute shopping. We went eat at The Modern Toilet Restaurant ( It wasn't as good as the one at Taiwan) and then proceed to Langham Place, the famous H & M, and then to the famous 恒香老饼家 to buy 老婆饼 and almond biscuits and then to Sports Street and again 女人街 and Argyle Centre for our last buys before we go back to Singapore. After all the last minute buys, we rush back to our hotel to squeeze in more of our stuffs before we bid goodbye to Man Chui and then proceed to take the hotel airport transfer ( Which is included in the hotel package ) to Hong Kong International Airport to take our Jetstar flight 3k695 and return back to Singapore. Hereby on behalf of Dear Dear, Edmund and Hui Khim would like to say a big big "THANK YOU!!!~" to Man Chui for being such lovely companion and "tour guide"! This is definitely a fruitful trip and of course a wonderful meet up with Man Chui. (^_^) Oh ya... Too much photos taken and I am simply plain lazy to upload them here.
